ESG Indices Inclusions

FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index

The FTSE JPX Blossom Japan is an index designed by FTSE Russell to evaluate the relative performance of companies undertaking specific action with regard to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) in each sector. Since FY2022, Haseko Corporation has been selected as one of its component stocks.
It is one of the ESG indexes that has been adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index

The MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index is an index designed by MSCI comprising Japanese companies with relatively high environment, social, and governance (ESG) ratings within their respective industries from the component stocks of its parent index (the MSCI Japan IMI Index). Since FY2023, Haseko Corporation has been selected as one of its component stocks.
It is one of the ESG indexes that has been adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

The S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index is a stock index jointly developed by the S&P Dow Jones Indices and the Tokyo Stock Exchange that uses TOPIX, a representative stock index reflecting trends in the Japanese market, as its underlying market. The index weights constituent stocks based on the status of environmental information disclosure and the carbon efficiency level (carbon emissions per unit of revenue).
It is one of the ESG indexes that has been adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index

The Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index is designed by Morningstar and enables investment by focusing on companies that have gender diversity policies deeply rooted in the corporate culture and guarantee equal opportunities for all employees regardless of gender. Haseko Corporation has been selected in Group 1, the leading group in this index.
It is one of the ESG indexes that has been adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

Morningstar, Inc., and/or one of its affiliated companies (individually and collectively, “Morningstar”) has authorized Haseko Corporation to use of the Morningstar® Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index Logo (“Logo”) to reflect the fact that, for the designated ranking period, Haseko Corporation ranks within the top group of companies comprising the Morningstar® Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index (“Index”) on the issue of gender diversity in the workplace. SOMPO Sustainability Index

An active index provided by SOMPO Asset Management that combines ESG evaluations (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Equity Valuation (fundamental value) .

ESG Ratings and Certifications

CDP

CDP is an international non-profit organization that gathers information on initiatives taken by companies from perspectives including climate change, water resources, and forestry resources, and publishes its assessments of such initiatives. Haseko Corporation was included in the A list in the climate change category for 2025, indicating it achieved the highest possible rating.

CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA)

SEA is an assessment by CDP that evaluates how effectively companies collaborate with their suppliers on climate change issues. In 2024, Haseko Corporation was selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest possible rating.

Certified Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health (White 500)

This is a recognition program run by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Nippon Kenko Kaigi, and it commends large enterprises, SMEs and other organizations engaging in particularly outstanding efforts toward health and productivity management on the basis of initiatives to address health-related challenges in communities and health promotion initiatives implemented by Nippon Kenko Kaigi. The top 500 companies in the large enterprise category are accredited as White 500 enterprises. Haseko Corporation and its affiliates have been accredited each year since FY2018 in the large enterprise category, and have achieved eight recognitions as a White 500 enterprise across five consecutive years.

Kurumin Certification

Based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, Kurumin certification is a program under which the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare recognizes companies that provide proactive support for child raising. The six Haseko Group companies below acquired Kurumin accreditation as a Child Raising Support Company in 2025.

Eruboshi Certification

The Eruboshi certification is a program under which companies whose initiatives for female participation have made excellent progress are recognized by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. In 2024, Haseko Corporation was accredited with 3 stars (Stage 3), the highest rank possible, and Haseko Reform Inc. was accredited with 2 stars (Stage 2).

FY2021 Nadeshiko Brand

Run jointly by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Nadeshiko Brand showcases listed companies that exhibit excellent promotion of female participation and are attractive to investors, who focus on medium- to long-term corporate value improvement. Haseko Corporation was accredited as a Nadeshiko Brand in FY2021.

Participation in External Initiatives

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) is an international organization that came up with a recommendation for an information disclosure framework to enable financial institutions and others such entities to appropriately assess a company's risks and opportunities in relation to climate change. The Haseko Group began information disclosure based on TCFD recommendations in 2021.

Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD)

The Task Force Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) is an international organization founded with the aim of establishing a framework to ensure companies and financial institutions properly evaluate and disclose risks and opportunities pertaining to natural capital and biodiversity.
Haseko Corporation joined the TNFD Forum in 2023 and began information disclosure based on the TNFD framework in 2024.

Science Based Targets (SBT)

The Science Based Targets (SBT) is a scheme whereby corporate greenhouse gas emission reduction targets aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement are certified by the SBTi international organization as being science-based, i.e. Science Based Targets (SBT).
The Haseko Group's targets for FY2030 received SBT certification in 2022.

30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity

The 30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity is an initiative established by volunteer companies, local authorities, and organizations with the aim of advancing actions toward the achievement of the international 30by30* target through a concerted nationwide effort. Haseko Corporation has participated since 2022.

  • This is one of the targets under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework adopted in December 2022. Its aim is to effectively preserve 30% of land and sea areas as a healthy ecosystem by 2030.

Keidanren Initiative for Biodiversity Conservation

The Keidanren Initiative for Biodiversity Conservation is an initiative that is undertaken jointly by the Japan Federation of Economic Organizations (Keidanren) and the Keidanren Nature Conservation Council, and participating in it are companies that endorse the Declaration of Biodiversity by Keidanren. Haseko Corporation has participated since 2025.
